What is MyBack?

MyBack is a fitness tool useful for easily and autonomously obtaining a posture of "relaxation of the vertebral column" with consequent relaxation of the lumbar region, the area most affected by back pain.

What type of benefits can I obtain by using MyBack?

Following intense training practice where the vertebral column is excessively solicited, thanks to Myback it is possible to quickly rebalance the intervertebral disc pressure, preserving the athlete from the risk of disc hernias and back pains in general (lumbosciatica, discopathy).
In cases of back pain caused by excessive muscle tension deriving from physical and psychological stress, the posture obtained with MyBack is very effective by activating a stretching action on your back.

Is there an age limit in the use of MyBack?

The lying position with the back supported makes the tool appropriate for people of every age, since it is basically a passive relaxation generated both by the absence of gravity of the body's weight on the vertebral column (lumbar area), and by the light traction obtained with legs flexed and the pelvis detached from the floor.

For how long should MyBack be used in order to reap its benefits?

The back is subjected to continuous solicitations, hence it is advisable to practice relaxation daily.
Benefits are of a preventive nature for those who do not have back pain but daily solicit their back with incorrect postures and excessive loads (people who spend much of their working time sitting, overweight persons...).
In the case of specific disorders, MyBack does not claim to solve degenerative situations. We are not hence in the position to indicate a time span within which it is possible to obtain improvements; in these cases it is best to ask for expert advice. Besides validating the application of MyBack for your specific case, these experts will be able to make a general case study and indicate any specific therapies.

Is there a period of the day in which the use of MyBack is more effective?

For sports enthusiasts, the use of MyBack is recommended at the end of a practice session as relaxation and stretching for the back.
For those persons who perform sedentary activities, the use of MyBack is recommended at the end of the activity itself or at the end of the day.

Let's take as an example someone who, for work reasons, spends much of his or her time sitting. Upon returning home, before performing other activities, he or she can do one relaxation session and then a second one before going to bed.

How long should MyBack be used?

The time of permanence in the MyBack posture is recommended for an application that ranges from 6 to 10 minutes. However, the time indicated varies according to the individual person. An initial sensation of relief generated by the absence of gravity in the lumbar area is followed by a slight tingling sensation in the legs, caused by the pressure of the supports on the popliteus. Hence, if no pain is felt after 8 minutes, there are no counter-indications to remaining in the MyBack posture for another 2-3 minutes.

Are there any counter-indications in the use of MyBack?

No, there are no counter-indications in the use of MyBack. However, in case of osteoporosis or in the presence of osteoarticular problems, we recommend consulting a physician before using Myback and before performing any other type of exercise or stretching activity... and, of course, using good sense!

For which disorders is MyBack most indicated?

In cases of general back pain (sciatica, discopathy, disc hernia, stenosis) where there is a thinning of the intervertebral discs, it is a well known fact that assuming flexing antalgic postures of relaxation is beneficial; MyBack allows to assume these postures in a simple and autonomous way.

What type of action does MyBack perform on the back?

Normally in the course of performing daily activities, inside the vertebral column, dehydration and the reduction of the thickness of the discs that act as a cushion between one vertebra and other take place. This situation returns to normal again during a night's rest, when disc re-hydration takes place.
The posture that one assumes through MyBack allows the extension of the vertebral column in the lumbar region, reducing the disc pressure and consequently rehydrating the intervertebral discs.
