Orthopedic corset
A device made of plaster or fiberglass that has the purpose of correcting malformations in the spine, and in particular some disorders connected to the vertebral column such as scoliosis. It can be used also in periods of convalescence that follow surgery or lesions to the spine. The orthopedic corset, by performing continuous traction on the spine, can lead to a complete correction of the deformity or block its progress.

Osteoporosis
By the term osteoporosis, we mean a condition in which the skeleton is subjected to greater risk of fractures, following the decrease in mass and modifications in the micro-architecture of the bones.
Osteoporosis, even if generally considered a disease that effects the bones, is considered a paraphysiological process by some. Its presence predisposes to a greater development of diseases and a consequent decrease in life expectancy, if not properly treated.
