Lumbago

Lumbago
, also called "sciatica", is a pain that strikes the sciatic nerve: it manifests itself in the lumbar region and extends to the buttocks to reach the lower limbs, often causing a sense of numbness or weakness.
In Italy alone, it is calculated that in the working-age population, at least 12 people out of 100 each year is victim of at least one episode of lumbago (lumbosciatica), and this entails a rather high social-medical cost.

In most cases, it manifests itself at different times: initially, a back pain is detected and, with time, it extends to the lower limb down to the sole or the top of the foot.
If, instead, the pain arrives suddenly and violently (this is also referred to as "whiplash" in common language) the patient remains blocked in the flexed position even for several days.
Furthermore, the pain is accentuated in those cases where the same position or posture is assumed for a long time (standing, seated in front of the TV, driving, sitting in front of a PC) or in sneezing, bouts of coughing and defecation.

Our back is put to hard tests during the day.

MyBack allows the patient to autonomously position him/herself in a relaxed position so that the legs are in the flexed position, thus allowing the mitigation of pain (lumbago).

During the acute pain phase, MyBack can be used by adjusting the position of the legs at a minimum height so as to keep the knees just bent and then gradually increase the height in order to obtain a decompression of the discs in the lumbar area, between them.
