Back Pain


Back pain
, defined also in medical terms as "lumbago", is a symptom connected to diseases that affect the vertebral column.

Everyone, at least once, has found him/herself faced with a more or less acute back pain: the cause can be manifold.
The back is subjected to stress and strains daily, above all when we assume incorrect postural attitudes or when tensions are accumulated.
The causes of "back pain" are manifold: frenetic lifestyles, irregular eating habits, stress caused by work, excessive strain are all factors that entail an increase in neuro-degenerative diseases and postural alterations that can generate pain and dysfunctions to the back and pelvis area.
The pain can manifest itself suddenly following excessive strain (moving a piece of furniture, lifting a weight, performing physical activity) and, in this case, can disappear by itself within a few weeks. But if the pain persists for a long time, specific therapies and the advice of specialized personnel are necessary.

In many diseases that cause more or less acute or chronic lumbagos, physiokinesis therapy, together with specially designed physical therapies, is recommended.
Particularly indicated treatments are those that include the assumption of passive antalgic postures that can decompress the lumbar vertebral discs.
